Dallas County Public Health Nursing Services has been providing home health services to Dallas County residents in their homes since 1969.
Services are provided under the direction of the client’s physician and include:
• Skilled nursing
• Homecare aide (assistance with personal care)
• Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy
• Referral to other community resources
Dallas County residents, their family members or medical providers may call to request services. Some examples of when to call include:
• Discharge from the hospital to home
• Wounds that need care
• Increased falls at home
• Blood sugars out of control
• Increased confusion
• Difficulty with personal care (bathing, walking, dressing, etc.)
**Payment for services is available through Medicare, Private Insurance, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs and sliding fee.
