The Five Year Construction Program describes the Road Department’s planned road and bridge programs for the near future. Generally, projects that are programmed within the first two years are currently being developed through the planning / surveying / design / letting stages. Projects in years three through five are more subject to funding limitations and unanticipated interruptions (i.e. flooding, grant opportunities, annexations, etc.). The Program is developed by the Road Department and presented to the Board of Supervisors at a Public Hearing in late March or early April. The Program is then submitted to the Iowa Department of Transportation for approval.
The links above show the FY17-21 program that is effective through the end of June 2017. The FY18-22 program was approved by the Board of Supervisors on March 28th, 2017 and will become effective July 1st, 2017. The link below shows the new approved program.
