The Dallas County Conservation Board's Environmental Educational Programs mission is to aid citizens in becoming environmentally and culturally knowledgeable and, above all, skilled and dedicated citizens who are willing to work, individually and collectively, toward achieving and/or maintaining a dynamic equilibrium between quality of life and quality of the environment.

Maka Ochante: Lakota for "A Sense of Place." Through our programs we hope to help people understand where they have come from, and therefore give them a better sense of place.
