Peregrine Falcon Watch
- Date: 03/25/2017 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Introduction: Peregrin falcons are the fastest animals on the planet.
Peregrine falcons are the fastest animals on the planet reaching speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour. Peregrine means to wander so to see one of these birds in the wild is a gift. A Dallas County naturalist together with the DNR will be leading a trip to the State Capitol Building to watch the peregrine falcons nesting on the east side ledges. Flights, stoops, hunting and feeding have been observed at this historical nesting site. This program was such a success last year, we are offering it again. Pre-registration is encouraged. FREE.
